The festival explores space and spaces. It is dedicated to the relationships between space and thought, architecture and art, performance and installation, and other associations. To this end, Ground Control is established, concentrating these intellectual and physical spaces. Within it, different approaches to and interactions with space are explored. As a place for art, it is both an experiential and a social space. The festival provides a platform for innovative concepts that seek connections with other disciplines beyond the theatrical context. Starting from Ground Control, the various venues become, like satellites, carriers of these multifaceted encounters, establishing a collaboration between art, science, politics, and entertainment. The festival and the city of Giessen look forward to innovative floor layers, escapist structural engineers, and down-to-earth astronauts, and wish everyone a pleasant journey and an interstellar discourse.
