In Body that Stands Smadar Goshen explores resistance trough the lens of resilience. On a stage embedded with hundreds of wooden bricks, the dancers inhabit a continuous loop of destruction and construction, explore a range of responses to encounters with opposing forces and engage in simple acts of physical resistance — toward one another and the space itself.

Racism and xenophobia: Analysis of exclusionary ideologies and discriminatory practices
Colonialism: References to colonial histories and their contemporary manifestations
Genocide: Brief mentions in historical context
From spectacular mass reconstructions to revived military parades and political rallies choreographed like historical tableaux, contemporary far-right movements are perfecting what we might call a “reactionary repertoire”—a sophisticated arsenal of performative strategies that blur the lines between entertainment, education, and political indoctrination. Pablo Santacana López approaches this phenomenon in his lecture Soft Reenactments using the example of the historical theme park chain Puy du Fou, founded and managed by the right-wing politician Philippe de Villiers.
Filmscreening, Festivalzentrum (Seltersweg 50)
Duration: 60 minutes
Content Notes:

Culture is one of the most important targets of right-wing extremist forces. The ideological campaign against the arts has recently become increasingly overt. BLICKWECHSEL explores this development in dialogue with Rimini Protokoll, CHICKS*, Katharina Warda, Sibylle Peters, Julia Wissert and many other personalities. Insights into performances and plays from across the spectrum of the performing arts shed light not only on how they counteract polarisation, but also on how the performing arts invite us to reflect and think ahead together on a daily basis. And thus strengthen democracy in the long term.

In her lecture Performing Presence: Activist Bodies as Practices of Appearance widmet sich Azadeh Ganjehexplores what it means when contested bodies, whose very presence in public space is challanged, nevertheless appear in public. Through their appearances on stages, digital platforms, and at protests, activist bodies rehearse a right of appearance that both claims space and opens it up for others.
Performance, Theaterlabor
Duration: 80 minutes, no break
Content Notes: Discussion of exhaustion and burnout
symptoms, fog, darkness, slowness
Are you tired? You are warmly invited to a celebration of exhaustion. Yours, mine, that of the German healthcare system and the worn-out utopias of past decades. Where state care was still provided for the exhausted until the mid-1990s, today there are commercial spa resorts and rehabilitation clinics. The sanatorium has been abolished. Exhaustion has taken its place. How can we deal with it? What practices can we learn together so that we don't have to chase after strength, but can establish a practice of prevention? Geh zur Ruh’ is a theatrical evening of pause and revolution, between staying in bed and healing protest.
There will be a artist talk after the performance.
